A Book Apart ebooks are available in three formats: EPUB, PDF, and MOBI.
The EPUB format is the industry standard and is supported by most touch devices (like Apple and Android devices) and apps.
The MOBI format is supported by Amazon’s Kindle and Kindle apps.
The PDF can be read using Adobe Acrobat or Preview (Mac OS), as well as many other devices and programs.
Some books include a video EPUB version. The video EPUB is supported only by Apple devices; it is identical to the standard EPUB, with the exception of one thing: where appropriate, static screenshots have been replaced by video demonstrations.
